The Lord Is Faithful!

I love adventures and surprises!! God certainly knows that since He created me that way. Well, last week, I was in for a surprise. I found out last Monday(3/9), that I am going to be laid off from SAIC. In a matter of minutes, my life changed as far as where I was going to work. As I left the office, I wasn’t upset nor was I angry but instead, I felt such an overwhelming peace. I had resolved in my heart that in every circumstance, God is sovereign and He knew that this was going to happen and He was going to cover me!
I had a Dr.’s appointment after work that Monday and when the Dr. asked me how my day was going, I mentioned to him and the nurse that I just recently found out that I was going to be laid off. He empathized with me and was surprised that I still had a smile on my face. I told him that I know that I will be fine and everything will work out.

Throughout the week, I was in faith knowing that God totally was in control of the whole situation. In fact, as I was praying, God had placed in my heart more and more for ministry. At the beginning of this year, I felt that God was going to be shifting some things in my life and to be ready for what He has for me. No where in my wildest dreams was I expecting for this to happen! I believe that God is starting to shift things with this recent news and God was quick to answer my prayers and confirm what He was placing in my heart.

Last Friday, just 4 days after I found out I was losing my job, I got a call from my pastor with a job offer to come on board as a part time administrator. Our church has been experiencing such tremendous growth and people are really experiencing God’s presence in the past month and a half. God is certainly FAITHFUL to provide me a job where I am doing what God has called me to do and for Him to provide for all of my needs. I truly believe that this was no coincidence but God knew all along and was simply putting together the pieces for this to happen.

I could not be more excited and thankful for God in my life. I can not help but to testify of how good God is! I hope that this encourages others to “Trust in the Lord!, For He does grant us the desires of our hearts!”
